Family Medicine

Dr. Martin is a native of Canada and attended the University of Alberta for her undergraduate studies and medical degree. She was the recipient of an Alberta Heritage Trust Fund Research Fellowship upon graduation, and pursued her interest in pancreatic cancer for 18 months before moving to the USA to complete a residency in Family Medicine.

Thereafter, Dr. Martin spent several years practicing Emergency Medicine before moving to California with her family. Initially she developed some urgent care centers in the Sacramento area before joining a large primary care group in northern California (Mendocino county) where she practiced for many years.

Dr. Martin has been Board Certified in Family Medicine for over 20 years and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Family Practice. She brings a wealth of clinical experience to Cassidy Medical Group and we are excited that the North County sunshine has lured her here!

Her special interests include fitness & sports medicine, weight management & bariatrics, diabetes, women's health issues and utilizing alternative approaches to chronic pain management.
