Kala R. Bhasker , M.D., DGO, FRACGP, DRACOG

Cassidy Medical Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that Dr. Kala R. Bhasker has joined our Family Practice Department.
Dr. Bhasker completed her medical schooling at Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, India and her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. She joined St. John's Medical College, Bangalore as a faculty member in Obstetrics and Gynecology and moved to Dallas, TX to carry out research on "Luteinzing hormone release mechanisms" in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, TX. She subsequently immigrated to Australia where she specialized in Family Medicine and started a solo private medical practice in Adelaide, Australia.
Dr. Bhasker then migrated back to the United States in 2004 and joined the University of California at San Diego as a resident in Family Medicine and completed her residency in June 2009. She is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
Dr. Bhasker has special interests in Women's Health, Nutrition, Community Medicine, Behavioral Medicine and Preventative Medicine. She also speaks Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and enjoys oil and water painting and classical music.
